One of the best free climbing areas in the country, NRG National Park aka “The New” offers miles of high quality sandstone. The cliffs were carved by one of the oldest rivers on the continent. More than 1,600 routes offer superb variety to attract climbers of all levels. The historical steel span bridge is the world’s largest.
Saturday, the 15th of October, is Bridge Day, when base-jumpers, bungee jumpers, and a host of other characters will come to celebrate this special day of the year. A heapn’ helpn’ of good ole southern hospitality awaits the climbing tourist visiting the quaint town of nearby Fayetteville.
